Purple Water Burial Urn

Deep plum and cream with a simple ribbon, the Purple Water Burial Urn is a graceful adult-size urn for a peaceful water ceremony.

Its biodegradable paper construction is designed to break down naturally over time, honoring a life while caring for the earth.

You can personalize it with engraving, such as a name and dates or a few loving words.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Purple Water Burial Urn big enough for an adult?

For most adults, yes. Using the one-cubic-inch-per-pound rule funeral homes follow, its 206 cubic inch capacity suits someone up to roughly 206 lbs.

Where can I hold a water burial?

Burial at sea in U.S. waters must take place at least three nautical miles from shore, with a report to the EPA within 30 days. For lakes, rivers or bays, check state and local rules first, as they vary.

How do I keep this urn safe before the ceremony?

Store it indoors somewhere dry and out of direct sun. Because it is designed to break down naturally, contact with water or damp conditions should wait until the ceremony itself.

When will my order ship?

Place your order before 1:00 PM CST on a weekday and it ships the same business day. Engraved urns ship the same day once the proof is approved by 1:00 PM CST, and anything completed later ships the next business day. We are open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
